Dear Members of Trinity Church and School,
What a tumultuous time we have had in the last year! Pandemic, loss of a shepherd, offers on the property, and the calling of a new spiritual leader for our church can lead us to despair and question many things. There are so many unknowns in our lives right now, it is easy to forget that God has a plan for us and that he does not want us to lose hope in him.
One of the ways we can find the answers to this and many things concerning our future is to ask ourselves, “What is God’s vision for us as Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Fort Morgan, Colorado?” We all have a part to play in the lives we touch today as well as the foundations we lay for future generations of God’s people.
Please join us on September 22 at 6 pm in the Parish hall for a light meal followed by a discussion lead by Pastor Billy Brath, Lutheran Church Extension Fund Vice President of Ministry Solutions, who will lead us through exercises and conversations to discern God’s vision for us.
The result of this will be a clear and concise statement that answers the question “God, who do you say we are?” This clarification will identify our purpose which drives everything that we do.
This vision will then be used to define what the future holds for us as a congregation. The entire process, meal and meeting, should be approximately 1½ hours. Please let either myself or the church office know how many will attend so we can plan the meal accordingly.
