TRINITY TIDBITS TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH: Services at Trinity Lutheran Church are held each Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday School and Bible class are held from 9:15 - 10:15 a.m. Please join us for worship. THE SACRAMENT OF THE ALTAR Who receives this sacrament worthily? Fasting and bodily preparation are certainly fine outward training. But that person is truly worthy and well prepared who has faith in these words: “Given and shed for you for the forgiveness of sins.” But anyone who does not believe these words or doubts them is unworthy and unprepared, for the words “for you” require all hearts to believe. PLEASE TURN IN YOUR INFORMATION TO THE OFFICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THANK YOU. CHAPEL: Our total chapel offering collected to date is $1,011.16. The chapel is being designated to T.I.M., Trinity in Mission. COSTUMES NEEDED: Costumes are needed for the immigration era (1901 - 1920), if you have any clothing items that appear to be from that time period, please contact Ms. Surdick. The items are needed for a play that the 5th & 6th graders are performing. Thank you. SPRING THING: The Spring Thing for students in grades 5 - 8 will be Tuesday, May 18, at 6:30 p.m. at our church parish hall. Come and enjoy the entertainment! 1ST - 8TH GRADE CHOIRS: The 1st - 8th grade choirs will sing in church this Sunday, May 16, at the 8:00 a.m. service. The 1st - 3rd grade should meet in our reserved seats at 7:45. The 4th - 8th grade choir needs to meet in the parish hall at 7:35 a.m. for warm ups. We need your voice! Thank you! CANDY BAR SALE: The preschool class is selling See’s Candy Bars to help raise money for work to be done around the school. Each bar is now $1.00 and you can choose from the following: milk chocolate, milk chocolate with almonds, or milk chocolate with toffee. You can purchase candy bars in the office. Thank you for your support! CHURCH AND SCHOOL PICNIC: We will have our church and school picnic this Saturday, May 15, at school starting at 3:00 p.m. Meat and drink will be provided. We would like the preschool - 2nd grade to bring a salad; and the 3rd - 8th grade to bring a dessert. There will be games for all ages. Come and enjoy the fun and fellowship! BOOKMOBILE: Please remember to return all your Bookmobile books as soon as possible. Thank you. KINDERGARTEN FIELD DAY: The kindergarten class will have field day Thursday, May 13, starting at 9:30. Parents are welcome to come and watch! 1 - 4 FIELD DAY: The field day for students in grades 1 - 4 will be Friday, May 14, at 12:45. Parents are welcome to come and watch! 8TH GRADE GRADUATION: The eighth grade students will graduate at the end of the 8:00 a.m. service on Sunday, May 23. After the service a reception will be held in the parish hall in honor of the 8th grade graduates, high school graduates, and teachers that will be leaving our school this year. Everyone is welcome to attend! KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION: The kindergarten graduation will be held at our closing chapel service at school. The date is Thursday, May 27, 8:15 a.m. ROLLER SKATING: The students in grades 1 - 4 will be going roller skating on Wednesday, May 26. We will leave school at 11:50 and return at 2:45. Students in kindergarten are welcome to meet us at the skating rink in Brush. The cost for skating is $4.00, which should be paid in the office. Students will need to know their shoe size. If you can help drive please return the attached form.
