TRINITY TIDBITS TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH: Services at Trinity Lutheran Church are held each Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday School and Bible class are held from 9:15 - 10:15 a.m. Please join us for worship. THE SACRAMENT OF THE ALTAR What is the Sacrament of the Altar? It is the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ under the bread and wine, instituted by Christ Himself for us Christians to eat and to drink. Where is this written? The holy Evangelists Matthew, Mark, Luke, and St. Paul write: Our Lord Jesus Christ, on the night when He was betrayed, took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to the disciples and said: “Take eat; this is My body, which is given for you. This do in remembrance of Me.” In the same way also He took the cup after supper, and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you; this cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you for the forgiveness of sins. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” THE SACRAMENT OF THE ALTAR What is the Sacrament of the Altar? This do, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of Me. USED INKJET CARTRIDGES: We are recycling used inkjet cartridges. Remember to bring in your cartridges. CHAPEL: Our total chapel offering collected to date is $914.38. The chapel is being designated to T.I.M., Trinity in Mission. CANDY BAR SALE: The preschool class is selling See’s Candy Bars to help raise money for work to be done around the school. Each bar is now $1.00 and you can choose from the following: milk chocolate, milk chocolate with almonds, or milk chocolate with toffee. You can purchase candy bars in the office. Thank you for your support! ACHIEVEMENT TESTS: Achievement tests for students in grades 1 - 8 started yesterday and go through Friday, April 30. Please help your child and the teachers by doing the following: 1. Make sure your son/daughter has eight or ten hours sleep each night. 2. Give your son/daughter a healthy breakfast. 3. Have your son/daughter arrive at school early. 4. Prepare a healthy lunch. 5. Encourage your son/daughter to do well - positive attitude. GRADES 1 - 4: The students in grades 1 - 4 will have a Field Day here at school on Friday, May 14, starting at 12:30. GRADES 5 - 8: Field Day for students in grades 5 - 8 will be at Denver Lutheran High School on Friday, May 7. We will leave school at 7:00 and return between 3:30 & 4:00. It is always a fun day, so please plan to attend.
