TRINITY TIDBITS TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH: Services at Trinity Lutheran Church are held each Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday School and Bible class are held from 9:15 - 10:15 a.m. Please join us for worship. THE LORD’S PRAYER - THE CONCLUSION For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen. What does this mean? This means that I should be certain that these petitions are pleasing to our Father in heaven, and are heard by Him; for He Himself has commanded us to pray in this way and has promised to hear us. Amen, Amen, that is, Yea, yea, it shall be so. USED INKJET CARTRIDGES: We are recycling used inkjet cartridges. The company pays $2.00 for each empty inkjet with printhead, regardless of brand and model. Remember to bring in your cartridges. CHAPEL: Our total chapel offering collected to date is $738.88. The chapel is being designated to T.I.M., Trinity in Mission. CALENDAR CHANGE: The 1st - 3rd grade choir will not be singing in church on Sunday, February 22. They will be singing on Sunday, March 7, at 10:30 a.m. 4TH - 8TH CHOIR: The 4th - 8th grade choir will be singing in the 8:00 a.m. worship service on Sunday, February 29. We need everyone’s voice. Please meet in the Trinity Parish Hall at 7:35 a.m. for warm-ups. Thank you! MINI CLASSES: We still need 4 mini classes. Classes will be offered Friday afternoon, March 12. Do you have a craft, talent, or exhibit you could share with a small group of 10 students for 30 minutes? If you would like to pair up with another adult to co-teach, what a great learning experience for everyone! Call the office if you can help. BASKETBALL: The basketball teams will play their parents this Friday, February 20. The games will be played at the Nazarene Church starting at 6:30. KINDERGARTEN: The kindergarten class will be going on a field trip to the dentist on Tuesday, February 24. We will leave at 8:50 and return around 9:30. Please contact Mrs. Arneson if you can drive. CREATIONISM: Come join us on Wednesday, March 3, for chapel and a presentation on creationism. EXTRA PIE: We have an extra pecan pie $10.00. PENNY RACE: The ninth annual Penny Race will be held during National Lutheran Schools Week, March 7 - 13. Proceeds will go to Trinity’s Endowment Fund which will provide on going scholarships for families wanting to send their children to Trinity Lutheran School for a quality Christian education. You may support your favorite classroom by putting pennies in their container or putting larger denominations in the other classroom containers. Each penny counts as a +1 point. Other coins count as follows: nickel -5, dime -12, quarter -40, half dollar -90, dollar -200. The classroom with the highest number of points will be declared the winner. LUTHERAN SCHOOLS WEEK: A continental style breakfast (muffin, fruit, and coffee or milk) will kick off our Lutheran Schools Week celebration. It will be Monday, March 8, from 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. for our students and their families.
